Economic Experts Gather to Discuss Issues Facing Latino Entrepreneurs

 

Wal-Mart Hosts The First Latino Economic Summit

 

 

Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., with the support of Latino Magazine and Impacto, has united about 200 prominent Latino business and community leaders to discuss issues of greatest importance to the Latino business community. Leading business and economic experts from the public and private sectors exchanged knowledge and insights with the Latino Economic Summit entrepreneurial attendees, in order to determine which business strategies can improve uncertainty in today’s new financial and regulatory environment. The Summit also revealed opportunities for Latino businesses to thrive in the midst of the ongoing economic turmoil.

 

Today, approximately two million Hispanic-owned businesses impact the U.S. economy by creating jobs and generating $388 billion in annual gross receipts. Wal-Mart sponsored this first ever Latino Economic Summit to extend its commitment to support the immediate health as well as long-term and future growth of Hispanic-owned businesses and Wal-Mart’s Hispanic suppliers throughout the United States.
